Parenting Journey

After the pregnancy bible I bought - Mayo Clinic Guide To A Healthy Pregnancy - I got a step further with books on parenting for Baby Cupcake. The new experience of becoming someone's mother is pretty exciting yet scary. Daddy also reads!

• Fun Start - by June Oberlander - (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Fun-Start-Maximize-Babys-Potential/dp/0007245653)
Experts agree that the first five years of a child’s life are the most formative. This is the time when children are most receptive to learning – and they are capable of learning a huge amount in a very short time. This international best-selling book has been used by hundreds of thousands of parents to help maximise the intellectual growth and motor skills of their young children. The younger the child, the stronger the effect. Beginning education at age five is too late! There are wonderful illustrations throughout the book and heaps of suggestions for busy parents on how to keep the kids stimulated while playing safely. Weekly activity from age 0 to 5 years old!!!!!

• Baby Owner's Manual - by Lauis Borgenicht, M.D. and Joe Borgenicht, D.A.D - (http://www.amazon.com/Baby-Owners-Manual-Instructions-Trouble-Shooting/dp/1931686238)
The Baby Owner's Manual is a fun and easy to read book with instructions on what you need to do to take care of your infant. Operating Instructions, Trouble-Shooting Tips, and Advice on First-Year Maintenance! Very graphical base and very appealing to daddys!

• Asian Parenting Today - by Jennier Hor, Ho Ai Ling and Jocelyn Oo
Includes practical easy-to-follow advice, milestones & development checklists, nursery rhymes to share with your baby, recipes, recommended parenting booklist. The writers have effectively put together a concise and practical book designed to assist parents-to-be, new mothers/fathers or any interest party in parenting, on issues pertaining to babycare during the very important first year.
